Ministry Tracks
Ministry Tracks are focused breakout groups that help individuals engage in their primary areas of church leadership. The goal is to help each of us excel at making disciples who make disciples.
TRACK 01
Developing disciple-making church leaders
Speaker: Chris Flathers
Many of our church leaders long for more leaders but what’s often lost is that developing leaders who produce leaders doesn’t happen by accident.
What does it mean to lead God’s people in thinking about disciple-making both inside and outside the doors of the church? What does it look like to teach the Bible, equip his people for service, and intentionally share the good news with others?
While answers to these questions can be easily assumed in principle, in practice both learning and applying these answers can be a challenge and we want to help! If you want to become an organization that produces leaders who produce leaders, then this is the track for you.
This track will be led by Chris Flathers. Called to multiply disciples, leaders and churches, Chris has been in pastoral ministry for over a decade in a variety of roles including those of church planter and pastor. Chris serves as a member of the Multiply group which specializes in helping churches develop leaders who develop leaders and were excited to have him.
TRACK 02
Disciple making in youth & young adult ministry
Speaker: Greg Anderson
Getting to know and care for the next generation comes with its own specific set of challenges, so this track will help leaders anticipate stumbling blocks and intentionally plan for a disciple-making future. This track will look at everything from small groups to messages to outreach and will help our youth and young adult disciple-makers become better equipped to intentionally meet these challenges head-on.
This track will be led by Greg Anderson. Greg currently serves as the Director of Ministry Advancement for Inspiration Point but has been serving at IPoint for 36 years and has helped train, coach, equip, and mentor hundreds of young adults so that they can evangelize, serve, and disciple thousands of children, youth, and families—many of whom have gone on to become pastors, parents, missionaries and mentors and lead and serve in our churches around north america today.
TRACK 03
Being a disciple-making disciple
Speaker: Jay Pathak
We want to help individuals reach their neighbor with the good news of Jesus. While most of us know non-Christians, to intentionally invest in those relationships can be a challenge. In this track, we will encourage participants to take a look at the people that God has already placed in their lives and begin the process of prayerfully considering how God may be calling them to share the gospel in new and intentional ways.
This track will be led by Jay Pathak. Jay is a church planter and pastor and the co-author of The Art of Neighboring. Jay is passionate about sharing his faith in everyday life and is committed to helping people understand the roles and opportunities that God has given them. He brings a unique strength in connecting ministry to culture, and we believe that Jay will be able to help you better understand your calling and take practical steps toward joining Jesus on his mission.
